Newly built VYAS GHAT / Ashram Haripur Marg Haridwar

 Located near Sapt Rishi Ashram, on the outskirts of Haridwar, Shri Vyasashram is a branch of Kashi Mutt Samsthan of Varanasi. Consecrated in 1988, it is a monumental memorial to Veda Vyasa, the creator of the historic epic Mahabharata. Shri Vyasa is the presiding deity and there are life-size idols of the mythological Saptarshis and the trimurti - Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara (Lord Shiva). The ashram also houses images of Shuka Muni, son of Vyasa, and his disciples, Paila, Vaishampayan, Jaimini and Sumant.Situated on the banks of River Ganges, the ashram has a bathing ghat with a small shrine of Goddess Ganga. The ashram also has a big garden, an auditorium, a health care center and a dining hall. Free food is offered to the guests and inmates. Accommodation facilities are available. Shri Vyasashram celebrates its foundation day on Phalguna Shukla Navami every year.Haridwar Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead and Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun is the nearest airport.
